On Monday evening, December 17th, The Strumbellas and Brothers Kirkpatrick played incredibly entertaining sets at 3030 for our final Violet Sound Session. Our wonderful audience included representatives and the CEO of our main sponsor, Stone Hammer Beer, as well as Ave Life Inc. reps, friends, family, our lucky guest-listed patrons and the entire staff at 3030 (who have recently been listed by NOW as one of Toronto’s ‘Top 10 Restaurants’ of 2012).
The Strumbellas’ performance was an intimate experience where our audience danced, cheered and smiled their faces off at the overwhelming music. Included in their set, The Strumbellas played their most crowd-pleasing song, “Sheriff” off their latest album, My Father And The Hunter and ended the evening with a great cover of Modest Mouse’s, “Float On.” Thank you very much to all of The Strumbellas: Simon, David, Jeremy, Isabel, Jon, Darryl as well as Joanne Setterington and many thanks to Brothers Kirkpatrick for kicking the night off.

The Violet Sound Sessions would not have been made possible if it were not for our
most gracious sponsors, Stone Hammer Beer, 3030 and Ave Life Inc. the incredible audience, friends, family, The Torontoist, Chris Dart, Buying Shots For Bands and our awesome mentors, Nathan Hunter and Dr. Warwick: Thank you to everyone for your tremendous help and support!
